Our guards replace the cone nuts and (because they’re made from new the super-tough new Ultramid® nylon) there’s no need for a metal inner and they’re cheap and easy to replace. The guard is slightly wider diameter than most popular pegs (including plastic pegs) so you should protect your spokes and flanges and avoid grinding on top of the guard.
This guard will fit all Proper Select hubs and V2 Microlite hubs (there’s washers supplied for your perfect spacing). It will also fit numerous other brands hubs (if they have a 15mm od axle). Our guard are based around 12mm spacing from inner bearing race to the end of the axle. If you’re hub has narrower flanges it’ll need more spacing.
