Alloy pegs are usually lighter and often used on the front, while steel pegs are better suited to heavier abuse and are a popular choice for the rear.

Check your axle size before ordering: many BMX bikes use a 14mm rear axle and a 10mm front axle. Most pegs include a 10mm adaptor, but check the product details to make sure the adaptor is included.
