Before you buy

Your next bike. Your questions, answered.

The practical details to help you choose with confidence.

Does my bike arrive assembled?

Bikes arrive in the manufacturer’s box and need final assembly and a safety check before riding. Depending on the model, this may include fitting the front wheel, pedals, handlebars and seat, and setting up the brakes.

Our optional paid assembly service is available for 12″, 14″, 16″, 18″ and 20″ BMX bikes. These arrive approximately 99% assembled. An oversized delivery surcharge applies separately. View bike assembly.

What size BMX bike do I need?

Start with rider height and riding style. On 20″ freestyle BMX bikes, top-tube length matters as well as wheel size. Larger wheelie bikes fit and ride differently.

Read Waller’s BMX sizing guide for a starting point. For wheelie bikes, explore the Waller BMX Guide and ask us if you are between sizes.

Are all bikes delivered for free?

No. Larger bikes are excluded from free UK delivery. Larger-bike delivery is £22.99 for the standard eligible UK service; destination and oversized-parcel surcharges may apply.

Check the delivery charge at checkout and read our large-bike shipping policy. Some destinations need a manual quote, which we confirm before dispatch.

When will my bike arrive?

Check the dispatch estimate for your selected bike and colour above. This is the waiting time before it leaves Waller BMX. Courier delivery time comes after dispatch.

Supplier-stock bikes need time to reach us first. Mixed orders are sent together once everything is ready. Express delivery does not shorten supplier lead times. Contact us before ordering for a birthday or deadline.

What tools will I need to assemble my bike?

It depends on the model. You will typically need suitable Allen keys, a pedal spanner and a pump, but check the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact tools and torque settings. Do not assume assembly tools are included.

A lock, pump and suitable toolkit are useful extras. If you are unsure about assembly or adjustment, use a competent cycle mechanic and have the bike safety checked before riding.

Which bike suits the way I ride?

Choose around the rider’s height, experience and intended use. Freestyle BMX bikes are designed differently from larger wheelie bikes, cruisers and race bikes.

Check the product description and specifications, including wheel size, geometry and brake setup. Tell us the rider’s height, budget and riding style if you would like help choosing.
